Christopher L. Ward Named Vice President

GREENVILLE, SC  - South Carolina Bank and Trust announced today that Christopher L. Ward has been named vice president.

Ward joined SCBT in 2005 as a consumer lender for the bank's Broad Street office.  In 2006, he was named banking officer and branch manager at the bank's Butler Road office at I-385.  In 2008, Ward moved into the Wealth Management Group as a private banker and assistant vice president.  Current, Ward is a private banker at the Butler Road office.

"Chris is an excellent banker and is very deserving of this promotion," said Jimmy Lindsey, senior vice president and Greenville County executive.  "His leadership and guidance are a valuable asset to our team."

A native of Greenville, Ward is a graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing. 

An active member of the community, Ward is an active participant with Search Ministries, a volunteer with Greenville Young Life's College Life Training Program at Furman University, and is currently participating in the Greenville Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Greenville Program.  Ward is also a former board member for the Mauldin Chamber of Commerce.  

Ward and his wife Dorsey Wyatt Ward reside in Greenville with their three children and are members of Grace Church.  Ward is the son of Ken and Charlene Ward of Mauldin.
