SCBT Gears Up for Annual Souper Bowl of Caring

COLUMBIA, SC  - (December 2, 2011)  The Souper Bowl of Caring is just around the corner and plans are beginning to take shape for the 7th annual campaign at SCBT.
The 2012 competition will have a new twist in that banking affiliates in three states will have teams competing – South Carolina Bank and Trust in South Carolina, North Carolina Bank and Trust in North Carolina, and Community Bank & Trust in Georgia.
Souper Bowl of Caring is a national youth-led movement, more than 260,000 strong that empowers youth to collect dollars and food for people in need and to volunteer in local communities. In recent years, more than $10 million has been collected annually to fight hunger and poverty.
100% of the money collected each year is donated to local charities.
Collections will begin at branches in all three states beginning January 2, 2012.
