SCBT Partners to Provide Housing Rehabilitation
ORANGEBURG, SC - South Carolina Bank and Trust has partnered with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and Lighthouse Learning Center in Orangeburg to provide housing rehabilitation services to low and moderate income recipients.
The funding is in the form of a grant – the AHP Set Aside Program – sponsored by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and includes two types of rehabilitation: Energy Efficiency/Weatherization, and Accessibility Rehabilitation.
According to Rodney James, executive director of Lighthouse Learning Center, “We are grateful to be able to provide services like this to the community. Serving those in need is part of our God given mission. It gives us great pleasure to partner with South Carolina Bank and Trust and the Federal Home Loan Bank out of Atlanta as we collaborate and join forces to improve the quality of life for those we serve.”
