Robertson Named Senior Vice President
South Carolina Bank and Trust announced that Rebecca “Becky” Schauer Robertson has been promoted to senior vice president for the bank’s Regulatory Risk Management division.
Robertson joined SCBT in 2002 as compliance specialist and was named to her current position of bank secrecy act officer in 2005.
“We are very excited to have Becky continuing to advance in this department,” said Lesley Lampert, senior vice president and regulatory risk management officer for SCBT. “Her leadership and desire for continued growth and development are valuable assets to our team.”
A native of Pennington Gap, Va., Robertson is a graduate of Lee High School in Ben Hur, Va. She is also a graduate of Milligan College in Milligan, Tenn., where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Later, Robertson received CAMS (certified anti-money laundering specialist) and AMLP (anti-money laundering professional) certifications.
Robertson is an active member of the community and is the current president of the FBI Columbia Citizens Academy Alumni Association and of the South Carolina InfraGard Members Alliance. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
Robertson is the daughter of Joseph and Mary Schauer of Pennington Gap, Va. She and her husband Jerald reside in West Columbia and have one daughter.
