As you may have heard, Community Bank & Trust of North Georgia is now part of the SCBT family. And we couldn’t be happier. Allow us to introduce ourselves and answer any questions you may have about your account(s) with us.

Is my money safe?

Yes, your money is safe at Community Bank & Trust. All deposit accounts, which include checking, savings, money market, CDs and retirement accounts, have been assumed by SCBT, regardless of the dollar amount. Due to FDIC insurance, no one lost any money on deposit with Community Bank & Trust. Please know that we value your banking relationship and appreciate your loyalty as a customer.

What do I need to do?

We want to make this transition as easy as possible for you. For now:

Bank with us as you normally would. You may continue to use your checks, ATM cards and debit cards until notified. All automatic drafts and direct deposits, including Social Security checks, will continue as usual.
Online Banking services will remain available.
