South Carolina Bank and Trust will never send you an email requesting personal account information (e.g. social security number, account number, password or personal identification number [PIN]).

If you receive an email claiming to be from South Carolina Bank and Trust requesting any personal information, DO NOT respond to the email and DO NOT click on any links within the email. You may call us at 1-800-277-2175 and/or forward the email to CustomerCare@SCBTonline.com to report the incident.

In addition to our security features, SCBT Financial Corporation recommends that customers:

1. Keep IDs and passwords confidential
2. Use passwords that include letters and numbers that are not easily discernible (do not use birthdays, child's name, etc.)
3. Change your passwords frequently
4. Use different passwords for each online service

If you don't recognize a transaction or suspect fraudulent activity on your account, please call 800.277.2175 immediately.
